The A-List ― the Tri-City News’ annual salute to the top businesses, destinations and services in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody ― is out today.
To create this year’s A-List, readers cast thousands of votes for their favourites in over 100 categories of businesses, voting three times in each category ― one vote for each of the three cities. The results paint a picture of three diverse, thriving cities, with a wide array of successful companies including newcomers, established go-tos, big companies and smaller ventures.
In addition to its handy lists of local favourites, this year’s A-List magazine features personal picks from Tri-Cities business leaders including Naheed Walji, general manager of the Astoria Retirement Residence; Vivien Symington, president and owner of Club Aviva Recreation; Judy Zhu, executive director of Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation; Andrew Abraham, store manager of Thrifty Foods in Port Moody; Gina Chong, founder of the Asian Arts and Culture Society; and Chief Ed Hall of the Kwikwetlem First Nation.
The winners receive a coveted A-List logo for display in store windows and inclusion in advertising as a sign of achievement.
“We’re proud to congratulate all the winners and finalists on this year’s list, including longtime favourites and newcomers to the scene,” said Tri-City News publisher Lara Graham. “We hope you will keep the 2022 A-List handy over the coming year, and refer to it often as you plan your next shopping jaunt or local excursion.”
